The businessman from Las Vegas told the story about how he stucked in the middle of the desert when his Tesla car had stalled due to the lack of cellular communication.
On Saturday morning on the 14th of January the businessman from Nevada decided to go to a trip with his wife from Las Vegas to Mojave Desert.
Ryan left the keys from the car at home as as Tesla is possible to get through the application on the smartphone. The married couple couldn't re-start the electric car due to the lack of an Internet signal after a 10-kilometer journey and a small stop on their way. People stayed in the car in the midst of the desert.
As a result, Ryan's wife had to walk about 3 kilometers to catch a signal of cellular network and ask her friends from Las Vegas to bring them keys from the electric vehicle.
Despite potentially dangerous situation into which the businessman got he told the press that he isn't going to shift the fault to car maker: Ryan knew that the application on the smartphone won't work without internet connection, but just forgot about it. And nevertheless through media he asked Tesla to clean the software from the need of connection to cellular network. Meanwhile, the representatives of automobile company didn't react to the incident.
