Tesla improves range across the range

Those willing to buy a Tesla Model S liftback or a Model X SUV can now opt for a new spec called Long Range Plus, which officially replaces the old Long Range/100D spec. The Model 3 received the same update last spring.

Due to the new software updates (Tesla updated the firmware some time ago), the Model S now gets 390 miles (628 km) out of a single charge, which means an improvement of 17 miles (28 km). The Model X gets 351 miles (565 km), which is 23 miles (37 km) better than before. The liftback starts from U.S. 80,000 and the SUV from $85,000 in the Long Range Plus version.

The top-of-the-line Performance trim makes do without this particular update thus far.
