According to Elon Musk, Tesla will hold a ceremony to mark the production start of the Model S Plaid on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
The most powerful Model S is also being advertised as the fastest-accelerating production car in the world, capable of going 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in under two seconds.
Three motors deliver over 1,000 horsepower (745 kilowatts) to the ground and can take the sedan all the way to 320 km/h (200 miles per hour). Furthermore, a large traction battery is said to grant it up over 830 kilometers (515 miles) of range on a single charge.
