The latest video from Youtube channel DragTimes follows two electric supercars – a Tesla Model S Plaid and a Rimac Nevera – as they race shoulder-to-shoulder on a drag strip.
The Nevera is by far the most powerful of the two at 1,914 PS (1,888 hp / 1,408 kW) and weighs in at 2,146 kg (4,731 lbs). The manufacturer claims it can hit 60 mph (97 km/h) in 1.97 seconds and finish the quarter-mile in 8.6 seconds before maxing out at 256 mph (412 km/h).
The Tesla Model S Plaid is heavier at 2,192 kg (4,833 lbs), goes 0-60 mph in 2.1 seconds and tops out at 200 mph (322 km/h). Its main advantages are the price ($124,000) and mass market orientation: the Nevera will be limited to just 150 production units priced from €2,000,000.
