Watch a Lucid Air Performance Dream Edition oppose a Tesla Model S Plaid and a Porsche Taycan Turbo S in a ridiculously fast-paced drag strip standout.
The Air is the most powerful out of the three cars with 1,111 PS (1,096 hp / 817 kW). However, the Tesla is barely behind with 1,020 PS (1,006 hp / 750 kW). Things are different for the Taycan Turbo S, which only pumps out 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW) to the wheels via a transmission.
The Taycan is also nearly as heavy as the Lucid Air, while the Model S Plaid manages to be the lightest and the most affordable out of the three.

As you may have guessed, Elon Musk’s latest creation ate both its rivals for breakfast in every single run, coming ahead of the Lucid Air by several body lengths. If you really liked the Air and wanted to hear some consolation words, know that it has more significantly more range and a higher top speed than the Plaid.
