U.S.-based body kit vendor Competition Carbon has unveiled a very wide aero kit for the Tesla Model S Plaid that redefines its exterior design. Only these renderings are available so far, but a full kit will debut at the next SEMA show.
The front bumper gains an impressively sized fake air intake and a wide carbon-fiber splitter. The rear end sports a bulky diffuser. The 3D images aren’t very clear in the fender department: the fenders pictured here appear either overlaid with flares or all-new body panels.
A trunk spoiler sits on the trunk lid at an angle approaching 45 degrees. The liftback is shown sitting on a special set of wheels with slammed suspension, so it remains to be seen what it will look like in real life.
Competition Carbon promises us a live demonstration at the next SEMA. It is unclear whether the kit will go into production after the show (or at all).
