Qwest reveals the Tesla Model S Shooting Brake

The British coachbuilder Qwest has revealed the latest project it’s been working on – the Shooting Brake modification of the Tesla Model S.

The vehicle was custom-built based on the Tesla Model S P90D against the order of a client who wanted more interior space for his car. Qwest claims they have created what continues to be the fastest-going estate car on the international market.

The rear part of the car has been redesigned using carbon, which allowed the Tesla Model S P90D to shed another 12 kilograms (26.5 lbs.) of weight. The trunk compartment has been extended for additional 210 liters’ worth of free space. The interior has been refurbished with some of the highest-quality finishing materials available. The entire modding process has cost its owner £70,000 to complete.

Remarkably enough, Tesla Model S Shooting Brake hasn’t really sacrificed anything in terms of raw performance or handling convenience. It still accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.8 seconds – full 0.6 seconds better than the 2nd best contender in its category, the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S E-Hybrid.
