The Tesla Model S Plaid is a supercar in sedan skin with its 1,020 PS (1,006 hp / 750 kW) of electric power and two-second launch. AutoTopNL’s latest video demonstrates very clearly what it is capable of on an unrestricted section of a German speedway.
In the standard configuration, the Model S Plaid is electronically capped at 267 km/h (166 mph), which it effortlessly achieves in just 14 seconds. However, the modification in the video had been equipped with the manufacturer’s Track Package and had its speed limited removed.
In the video, the electric sedan manages to reach its projected maximum acceleration of 328 km/h (just under 204 mph). It also hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.56 seconds and 200 km/h (124 mph) in 6.82 seconds. A quarter-mile run takes it 9.62 seconds to complete on an unprepared road.
