Tesla quietly beings entry-level Model S & X back

Tesla has returned the Model S and Model X Standard Range versions to the market without any kind of prior announcement. Neither the liftback nor the SUV have been available in this version since model year 2021.

Note that the term ‘Standard Range’ only applies to battery size; both models are dual-motor and all-wheel-drive by default. The Model S gets 498 PS (491 hp / 366 kW), while the Model X gets 503 PS (496 hp / 370 kW). The respective sprint times are 3.7 and 4.4 seconds. The liftback has 515 km (320 miles) of range and the SUV has 433 km (269 miles).

Pre-ordering the Standard Range Model S and X in the United States is already possible, but you will have to wait until at least October for the delivery. Prices start roughly $10,000 below the Long Range lineup.
