A most extraordinary event has occurred in the city of Barrie, Canada. A 46-year-old Tesla Model S driver sped way past the allowed limit and literally took off on his electric car.
Reportedly, he was driving across the city at an extremely high speed and didn’t have the time to stop before the railway tracks. His Tesla Model S ended up colliding with the barrier and going up into the air. If the video is any indication, the car has made at least 30 meters (100 ft.) and scared the living hell out of the nearby pedestrians.
According to the latest media reports, all people in the car got away with slight injuries.
The driver has been detained and faces charges of speeding and dangerous driving. The first court hearings will commence in a month.
