Customers in China may not order the 2024 Tesla Model Y with extra performance in some trims and more range in others – all while staying at the same price point.
In its most basic form, the SUV now covers 554 km on a charge instead of 545 km. The Model Y RWD also sprints to one hundred kilometers per hour in 5.9 seconds – a full second faster than before.
The dual-motor version covers 688 km on a charge instead of 660 km. Tesla hasn’t clarified yet how it managed to improve the numbers.
The range-topping Model Y Performance stays unchanged, though. It still does 615 km per charge and sprints in 3.7 seconds.
On the outside, the model year 2024 brings along black 19-inch wheels and a backlit dashboard. Textile is also used in places where wooden trims once were.
Prices in China still start from the usual 263,900 Yuan.
