Tesla Inc. has lowered its EV production targets at Gigafactory Shanghai, reports the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
The electric vehicle manufacturer pieced together roughly 49,500 Model Y SUVs in March, 17.7 percent down from the same month the year before. It then went down 33% to just 36,600 units in April.
In January–April 2024, Gigafactory Shanghai has produced 287,359 Tesla EVs, 5 percent less than in 2023.
