Tesla CEO Elon Musk has left a post in his Twitter account saying that the upcoming second generation of the Tesla Roadster will offer an impressive 1,000 kilometers (621+ miles) of range once charged to the max.
The original Roadster Concept debuted in the fall of 2017 equipped with three electric motors that took it from zero to 100 kilometers per hour (62 mph) in a dizzying 1.9 seconds. The vehicle could also ultimately blast past the 400 km/h (250 mph) mark, at least according to Tesla’s own statement.
The Tesla Roadster Gen2 is slated to become one of the world’s fastest-going mass-produced cars in history. Regrettably, we have yet to learn its exact performance specs.
The model enters production in 2020, with pre-orders already open.
