10-year-old Tesla Roadster up for grabs for $93k

This 2011 Tesla Roadster has only 1,300 miles (2,090 km) under its belt and is available on Bring-a-Trailer with a top bid as high as $93,000 USD – you could buy a new Model S with dual motors and 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW) for that kind of money.

The father of the car’s current owner bought it in November 2011 and re-registered it to him in May 2017. The car had stayed nearly unused and is reportedly in great condition.

Being a Roadster Sport spec, it comes with AP Racing brakes featuring perforated Brembo rotors, adjustable shocks and sway bars. The exterior is finished in Radiant Red, the seats inside are heated, the Alpine infotainment system supports navigation, and a reversing camera is present as well.

Thrust comes from a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle, which makes 292 PS (288 hp / 215 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The battery capacity is 53 kilowatt-hours.

The first-gen Tesla Roadster was made in California in 2008-2012 based on the second-gen Lotus Elise platform. It received a number of front and rear styling modifications in 2010.
