Arizona-based car dealership Gruber Motors is selling a 2010 Tesla Roadster with roughly 60 km (37 miles) under its belt. The first-generation soft-top is in pristine condition, and the seller says they are patiently waiting for the best offer from affluent buyers.
Back at the time of production, the Roadster received a single electric motor at the factory with 288 PS (284 hp / 212 kW), letting it hit 60 mph (96.6 km/h) in 3.9 seconds. Later on, Tesla produced a more powerful modification of it that was 0.2 seconds faster.
Equipment-wise, the example on sale has a full carbon-fiber body, adjustable shocks and a two-seat interior wrapped in red and black leather.
The listing claims that the car retains its stock 53-kWh battery rated for 400 km (248 miles) of range. It has allegedly never been driven all these years, having left the factory with 50 km (37 km) on the odometer due to all the pre-sale tests. The owner then drove it on exactly one occasion – to a service station for some planned maintenance and back.
Tesla has produced roughly 2,400 first-gen Roadsters (see video). The seller claims that fewer than 2,000 of those have survived to this day, and that the one on sale could be the world’s best-preserved, most pristine example in existence.
