The Tesla app has recently received an update on iOS that added the production Semi truck into its database. Let’s have a look at Elon Musk’s belated electric trailer carrier.
Thanks to the update, you can now take a closer look at the rear-hinged doors, side mirrors, front bumper, windshield wipers and charging port. It is official that the Semi will enjoy access to a dedicated network of 1MW charging stations.
Inside, the highlights include a single seat installed in the center of the cabin, the signature Tesla steering wheel and a pair of large displays. Spanning almost the entire cab width is a large sun visor. Two wireless chargers and a folding passenger seat are also present.
The Semi debuted as a prototype five years ago and was slated for production in 2019, but never did due to numerous issues. The new launch date is December 1, 2022.
