IM Motors, an automaker created between multiple companies including SAIC and Alibaba, is selling around 1,000 L7 sedans every month, and the sales may go up with the debut of a new modification called Snake Performance.
The standard IM L7 saloon is marketed as a Tesla Model S alternative and comes equipped with dual electric motors for an AWD setup capable of 578 PS (570 hp / 425 kW) and 725 Nm (535 lb-ft) of torque. It needs 3.87 seconds to sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) and gets 615 km (382 miles) of range from its 93-kWh battery.
The new Snake Performance series comes in two flavors offering a range of improvements over the standard specification. If you go for the Lite version, you will get a mild boost to 605 PS (597 hp / 445 kW) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. This version also replaces the round steering wheel with a racing yoke. If you pay extra for the full Snake Performance package, you will also get steering and suspension enhancements, lightweight wheels and performance brakes.
