The Kenworth W900LX is an iconic long-nosed truck with traditional cab design that everyone recognizes, and that’s why YouTuber Awesome Woodcraft decided to replicate it in wood.
The cab took shape first, followed by the frame and the wheels. The carpenter rounded all 16 wheels using a wood turning table. He also took care to add trailer supports and jacks, boxes and fuel tanks. He even implemented an actual driveshaft between the engine bay and the eight driven wheels.
The tank trailer was another story. Awesome Woodcraft ended up using individual rounded blocks of wood for it, binding them together with metal reinforcement braces. Once everything was put together, he rounded off the work with a coat of paint. That’s just a very basic description of the process, though, so better check out the video!
