Car Tuning
Porsche electrification specialist Everrati has rolled out an extensive restoration program for the 993-generation 911. The main emphasis is on keeping the EV as close as possible to the original from the 1990s, higher power and torque notwithstanding.
The tuner begins with removing the stock flat-six engine from the bay and putting a single electric motor in its place. It sends a cool 771 PS (760 hp / 567 kW) and 810 Nm (597 lb-ft) of torque to the rear wheels. Since the torque is pretty much instant, the car hits 100 km/h (62 mph) within 3.3 seconds from launch.
The battery pack is rather modest-sized at 63 kWh, so the range typically doesn’t exceed 322 kilometers (200 miles). 100kW charging still means you can get the battery back up from 20 to 80% in half an hour or so.
Everrati argues that a battery any heavier than this would just throw the classic 911 out of its finely tuned balance. In its current form, not only does the electromod weigh almost the same as the petrol sports car it is based upon, it also handles very similarly.
Available options include body kit parts, wheels, active suspension, more durable brakes and a leather/Alcantara interior overhaul. The front seats get replaced with Recaro Sportster CS buckets, and you can decide whether to keep or ditch the rear row. A Porsche Classic sat-nav system and a high-end audio system are on the list as well.
You can find the car listed under “Founders Edition”. Among other advantages of the conversion is the fact that you can request a full retrofit at any time if you don’t like the changes. Everrati will rebuild your car once over with the flat-six and manual transmission. All pricing is private, of course.
