Leaked photos of the new affordable Toyota Raize crossover meant for Asia and South America markets have appeared in a Japanese magazine. The premiere is scheduled for November 5, 2019.
The SUV will occupy a market position under the CH-R, but will share certain stylistic cues with the previous-gen RAV4.
The Toyota Raize comes powered by a turbocharged three-cylinder engine good for 98 hp (73 kW) and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) of torque. A manual transmission or a CVT sends the power to the front axle by default, but AWD is also available at a premium.
The mini-SUV utilizes the DNGA architecture of the Daihatsu Rocky and shares many of its units and components.
