Toyota unveils e-Palette Concept

Toyota Motor Corporation has held an official presentation of its latest electric car prototype, the e-Palette Concept, during the ongoing Customer Electronics Show 2018 in Las-Vegas, U.S.A.

Interestingly, the car has been developed in cooperation with quite a few companies, not all of them directly related to the automotive industry: Amazon, Mazda, Pizza Hut, and Uber, among others.

As for the appearance of the new Toyota e-Palette Concept, well, it seems like the exterior designers went the easy way with this one. Essentially, the car looks not unlike a container box on wheels. Toyota has already voiced plans to release different models of the car between 4 and 7 meters (that’s 13 to 23 ft.) long, so maybe that’s the reason.

A single peek into the interior dispels any doubt that the newcomer is far more interesting on the inside than the outside. First and foremost, the car feels very spacious – thanks in no small part to the abovementioned straightforward body design, but also because of its extra height.

According to an official source, it isn’t until 2020 that the new Toyota e-Palette Concept finally gets to run its initial road tests.
