Mecum Auctions is offering a modified 36-year-old Toyota SR-5 for sale that looks exactly like Marty McFly’s dream truck from Back to the Future. The auction ends tomorrow.
This is not an official movie car, but rather a lovingly built and painstakingly precise replica. Exterior modifications begin with a suspension lift, a roll bar, and some auxiliary lighting. There are Smittybilt bumpers all around, movie-accurate wheels, and a cabin with a full set of BttF mementos, including a hoverboard, self-lacing shoes, and more.
The tech stays standard, but this SR-5 is lucky enough to offer five-speed manual transmission, electronic injection and solid beams all in one package. To the best of our knowledge, Toyota only ever offered the truck in this configuration in 1985.
