Toyota company showed the updated Yaris hatchback, the full-fledged debut of which will take place at Geneva auto show in March. According to the press release, the company spent about 90 million euros for modification of the model. French design studio equipped Toyota hatchback with updated engine and about 900 new details.
Dimensions of Yaris 2017 of the model year almost didn't change, due to a number exterior modifications — the front grille was increased, moldings on doors were updated and optical system was renew, the body in general began to seem more massive. Wheel rims and bumpers also received a new design. There are also two new coloring of a body — Tokyo Red and Hydro Blue.
Inside the hatchback had a new trim with decorative inserts and new color accents. The dashboard with a display diagonal of 4.2 inches received the blue illumination, the shape of ventilation holes also changed.
Yaris is equipped with a new 1.5-liter "aspirated". The capacity of a power plant increased by about 10 percent and made 111 horsepowers. The hatchback reaches the first hundred in 11,0 seconds. They promise that the new engine will have lower fuel consumption. "The hot version" of the model has 210 hp under the hood.
Safety is ensured by a traditional Toyota Safety Sense package with the system of automatic switching between long-range and short-range light, lane tracking and preventions of crashes with function of emergency braking. Engineers also improved airbags.
