Toyota company brought the special version of RAV4 crossover under the name Adventure at Chicago motor show. The car is created for family trips for outdoor recreation, including off road terrains.
RAV4 Adventure will go on sale in a front-wheel version with automatic blocking differential or four-wheel drive and Dynamic Torque Control system. Under the hood there is 176-hp 2.5-liter N/A engine (naturally aspirated), working together with a 6-step "automatics". The model has a functional package for more convenient towing a trailer and special assistant at startup on the rise. Engineers improved a suspender, a radiator and provided the best cooling of the motor and transmission. The road gleam was also increased.
The exterior design was slightly changed due to the dark edging of head optics, as well as the emergence of large extensions of arches, 18-inch wheels and underbody protection. Besides, there appeared a roof cargo box. Six colors will be available for the choice - Black, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Silver Sky Metallic, Super White and Ruby Flare Pearl.
Changes were embodied in new decorative panels, leather-trimmed gear shift , all-weather floor mats inside. Safety is ensured by a TSS-P package with control systems tiering traffic and pedestrian detection and adaptive cruise control.
The new RAV4 version will be on sales in the USA in early autumn of 2017.
