Toyota 4Runner gets a TRD Sport version

The fifth and latest generation of the Toyota 4Runner debuted as far back as 2009, but the automaker has kept it up to date until now with facelifts. The TRD Sport edition announced this week also strives to keep the model relevant.

The 4Runner TRD Sport rides on 20-inch rims, has rails on the roof, air vents in the hood, improved suspension, and color accents in the cabin. LED lighting comes standard, rather than being a paid option.

The seats come wrapped in SofTex imitation leather with TRD logos on the headrests. Floor mats bear the name of the special series, and the infotainment system with its 8-inch touch-sensitive display supports mobile apps.

Power comes courtesy of a four-liter gasoline V6 rated at 273 PS (269 hp / 201 kW). The transmission is five-speed automatic.
