Toyota has held an official presentation dedicated to the latest lineup of the Alphard car series including its luxury modification, Vellfire.
The base trim level now offers quite a few safety-oriented features to make the driver’s life easier. Front collision prevention, lane control and traffic sign recognition are all there for added convenience.
The 2018 Toyota Alphard gets a new 3.5-liter V6 engine coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission which has replaced the old 6-speed gear. While no precise steering characteristics are being provided yet, it has been made official that the car now uses less fuel than it did before.
Those looking for a cheaper version of the minivan may get it with the latest edition of the 2.5-liter V4 engine capable of 180 hp. A hybrid for the environmentally conscious is available as well.
Both vehicles sport restyled radiator grilles and LED headlights. A peek inside the regular 2018 Toyota Alphard allows to see a new fascia board, whereas the top-of-the-line Vellfire draws attention to its posh finishing involving lots of wood and Nappa leather.
