The next-generation Toyota Avalon full-size car can now be purchased in the United States, starting at $35,500 for a regular and $36,500 for a hybrid model.
The refreshed Toyota Avalon uses the TNGA platform as base and borrows much of its body design from the latest Camry. It packs an up-to-date infotainment system with a large sensor display, a powerful sound system, a climate control unit and a wireless charging station.
The gasoline-driven 2018 Toyota Avalon gets a 3.5-liter V6 engine rated at 301 hp (225 kW) and 362 Nm (267 lb·ft) of torque. Its hybrid counterpart offers a tandem of a 2.5-liter IC engine, an electric motor and a battery array good for 215 hp (160 kW).
