According to Toyota Europe VP Matt Harrison, the Aygo supermini hatchback will arrive in showrooms next year.
Many car manufacturers have wrapped up their supermini lineups already, meaning that the Toyota Aygo facelift might end up being the only one on offer next year.
Harrison added that the car would feature a traditional engine, because going electric would automatically price it outside the ‘affordable’ segment. In all likelihood, this means a small-displacement gasoline engine available with manual and automatic transmission.
The reveal is scheduled for 2021.
