Toyota to unveil the new Aygo at Geneva

The next-gen Toyota Aygo minicar will debut at the Geneva International Motor Show starting in a couple weeks. There are changes both in the exterior and the interior that are worth looking at.

On the outside, there’s a new radiator grille and restyled LED headlights. The updated Toyota Aygo comes in a few additional color variants to choose from and gets a new set of exclusive 15-inch wheels.

The inside of the vehicle draws attention to a new instrument panel. Buyers of the refreshed urban minicar will be able to pick their favorite interior trim color and select from a wide list of other trim options varying in style as well as price.

The updated Toyota Aygo gets to keep its 1.0L engine which, nonetheless, has undergone a major redesign and can now deliver up to 72 hp with 93 Nm of torque. It should only need around 4 liters of gasoline per 100 km (that’s approximately 70 miles per gallon for those interested), can accelerate the car 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 13.8 seconds and ultimately get it going at 160 km/h (100 mph).
