The Guangzhou Auto Show counts among the largest automotive events in the entire China, but it seems like things did not work out in its favor this year. The organizers behind the show have officially announced a delay caused by a recent Covid-19 outbreak.
The official website of the trade expo contains all the usual reassuring clauses, including that the situation will be closely monitored and the show resumed when possible under a strict disease prevention regime. In reality, however, there is still no new date or even a rough estimation of one. We would not be surprised at all to hear that Auto Guangzhou was cancelled this year.
The original starting date was November 18, 2022. A number of important premieres had been slated for that date, including the production cars based on the MG Cyberster and Toyota bZ3 concepts.
With the Middle Kingdom’s greatest auto show delayed or possibly canceled this year, the next big expo for us to look forward to is the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Take a look at the pics and the video here if you feel nostalgic about the last year’s Auto Guangzhou.
