Lexus teases its first all-electric SUV, the RZ 450e

As we reported earlier, Toyota Motor Company has its eyes set on launching no less than 30 new electric vehicles worldwide by 2030. Akio Toyoda himself briefly showed us 15 of these yesterday, and one of them has now been also revealed on sketches.

It is called the Lexus RZ 450e, and the company admits it had been in development for a long while now. As such, it should premiere soon.

Design-wise, the RZ is a crossover SUV with four driven wheels in all variants, sharing the platform with the Toyota bZ4X and its twin, Subaru Solterra. Judging by the sketches, however, the exterior will be noticeably different from those two.

The trademark L-shaped DRLs are still present, while the radiator grille gets some modifications. Viewed from the side, the model resembles the duo mentioned above, but you can still tell it is a different car. As for the cabin and the drivetrain, these remain a complete mystery at the time.
