Toyota has shared a trio of vertical teaser pics previewing the rear end of what looks like an electric SUV. BestCarWeb believes it will be a car smaller than the current bZ4X.
The images reveal the outlines of the car along with its LED light signatures, a license plate niche in the tailgate and a badge that reads ‘BEV’, which usually stands for ‘battery electric vehicle’.
On the whole, the details make us think of the Toyota bZ Compact SUV Concept that the automaker brought to the LA Auto Show last year (browse the rest of the gallery and watch the video for a closer look). Rumors began circulating back then that the company was interested in mass-producing that car, but there has been no official confirmation so far.
According to BestCarWeb, the vehicle previewed in the teasers is the final production version of the bZ Compact SUV. It could end up with a name like ‘bZ3X’ and go on sale as a cheaper alternative to the bZ4X. As for the premiere, it could take place during the Japan Mobility Show starting on October 25.
