Toyota has posted a mysterious teaser pic saying it showed ‘a new dawn hero’ without providing any further details. The media tend to believe it’s the next generation of the Camry.
Lifting the shadows in an image editor reveals sharp-looking DRLs, protruding bumper attachments and a large air intake at the passenger’s side. All in all, it looks like a TRD version of the Camry.
The company’s official documents said the next generation of that car would arrive in 2024, so it makes sense for it to debut now.
We know firsthand that the new Camry will be based on an updated version of Toyota’s TNGA-K platform. The powertrain options haven’t been announced yet, but the hybrids should definitely continue to be available.
Inside, a large vertical head unit like in the company’s other recent releases is our main expectation.
