Toyota will be bringing the next-generation Camry to the Guangzhou Motor Show opening on November 17, 2023, AutoHome reports. Sales in China are set to begin in early 2024.
According to the publication citing its own sources, the sedan will retain its old architecture with minimal upgrades. It will ship with a revised selection of engines. Right now, the China spec ships with ICE engines and no electrified options; in contrast, the new generation is expected to go all-out hybrid in the country. There are still no specifics available aside from cylinder count (four in all versions).
Despite the first Camry teaser coming from the U.S. division of Toyota, the car itself will premiere at a show in China before the rest of the world. Judging by the image, the front bumper and C-shaped DRLs are new, but that’s consistent with the automaker’s current design language and not surprising.
