Check out Toyota Celicas from Thailand cosplaying Cars

PS Modify, a tune-up shop from Thailand specializing in making supercar replicas based on cheap rides, has unveiled its next big project – a very convincing impersonation of Lightning McQueen from the 2005 animation Cars (see video).

The body is modified so thoroughly that only the side view lets you see the 1990s-era Toyota Celica under all the mascara. Based on the photos alone, it looks like only the roof stays stock. The rest of the body becomes significantly wider and gains new lighting, a giant rear wing and special bumpers (the smiley one in the front is particularly well done, in our opinion).

To maximize the semblance to the original, the replica rides on wider wheels, has eye decals on its windshield and a nice livery on the sides. The red and the blue examples you see in the gallery here are the only two created so far.

For most of its other conversions, PS Modify tends to use the mid-engined Toyota MR2 coupe as a starting point. There are Ferrari LaFerrari, Lamborghini Veneno and Porsche 918 Spyder kits on the list.
