Have a look at a 1990s-era Toyota Classic emanating retro waves

This Toyota Classic is 25 years old, one of only 100 examples made, and can be yours for just under $50,000 in the USA.

The special series was released as an homage to the 1936 Toyota AA, the marque’s first light passenger car in history. Aside from inheriting the AA looks, it debuted in a two-tone body with multi-spoke wheels and white-sidewall tires for maximum nostalgia points.

The interior is much more modern in comparison despite its read-leather-and-wood trim and a vintage-looking steering wheel. This particular example was later retrofitted with a multimedia system and GPS navigation. It still has only around 11,000 kilometers (7,000 miles) on the clock.

Interestingly enough, the Classic ran on Hilux pickup underpinnings and used its four-cylinder engine to drive the rear wheels with 96.5 PS (95 hp / 71 kW) and 159 Nm (118 lb-ft) of torque though a 4AT.

All cars were meant exclusively for Japan, but quite a few ended up in other countries, including this one.

Another Classic cropped up on sale three months ago (see video) and failed to meet reserve, stopping at $40,500. It had around 25,000 km (15,500 miles) on it.
