Five customized 2019 Toyota Corollas celebrate their SEMA premiere

Toyota has come to the SEMA Show with a whole range of tuned-up Corolla hatchbacks. The 2019 Corolla has only debuted recently, so the customized cars were met with great enthusiasm.

The first Corolla is a unique project by Muscle Tuner Automotive. Inspired by the classical AE86, it wears a sports body kit containing an aluminum front splitter, canards, side skirts and a large diffusor, and is wrapped in a film that tries to mimic the basic features of the AE86. The car rests on light alloy wheels clad in Bridgestone RE-71R tires. It also features a straight pipe exhaust, an improved air intake system and a nitro booster.

Another one goes by the name of “Super Street Corolla”. It features a bright-red body, lots of carbon parts, six-spoke Volk Racing wheels wrapped in Falken tires, and Wilwood brakes. It also boasts a boosted engine, better air intakes and an exhaust system with four tailpipes. On the inside, there are racing seats and a custom audio system with a massive subwoofer.

The next Toyota Corolla is a project by SoCal Kustomz. It sports a Fast&Furious-inspired film wrapping, a set of Motegi MR138 wheels with performance tires, a nitrous oxide injection system and an in-house-designed exhaust system.

The fourth entry is a Toyota Corolla by Hoonigan. The car has Hella headlamps, Fifteen52 Integrale wheels and a black body and looks like rally cars from the 1990s. It also features sports suspension, an improved air intake system and an Ark Performance exhaust.

Interestingly enough, the Hoonigan vehicle has been conceptualized as a camera car. As such, it can be retrofitted with a stabilized camera crane suitable for a Red Dragon camera with a Canon 17-120mm lens.

Finally yet importantly, there is the Toyota Corolla drift car by Papadakis Racing. The car is compliant with the Formula DRIFT Pro regulations and can therefore participate in drift championships. It packs some groundbreaking modifications, such as the rear drive and the all-new 2.7-liter turbocharged engine rated at 850 hp (634 kW).
