Toyota has reported that its popular Corolla compact has got into the short list of the Europe Car of the Year 2020 award. The final voting will be held on March 2, 2020.
The latest iteration of the Toyota Corolla was launched in February this year based on the TNGA architecture. The car boasts specially high level of comfort, excellent steering, a wide range of electronic assists and aids, and lots of modern tech.
According to Focus2Move, the Corolla should already be regarded as the world’s most popular car of 2019 thanks to 714,000 copies sold in the first half of 2019.
Toyota has claimed two CotY awards so far: once for the Yaris/Verso and once for the Prius.
