The long-anticipated Toyota GR Corolla will debut on Thursday, March 31, 2022. There is a new video and two photos to keep you excited for the premiere.
One of the images shows a front fender with air vents in it for improved brake cooling and a GR badge next to the slits. The other one shows side sills with “GR-FOUR” printed on them, denoting the same AWD system as the one used in the latest GR Yaris.
It is official that the power-upped Corolla will ship with the same 1.6-liter G16E-GTS turbo three-pot as the hot hatch mentioned above. Power and torque remain to be disclosed, but the Yaris version of it makes 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) in Japanese spec and 261 PS (257 hp / 192 kW) in European spec.
