Toyota GR Corolla Morizo rips up the racetrack in a new video

The Morizo Edition of the Toyota GR Corolla came out in June this year named after the president of the company, who sometimes participates in races under his nickname, ‘Morizo’. A new video lets you hear the furious hot hatch in action.

Powering the car is an improved engine pumping out 304 PS (300 hp / 224 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, surpassing the torque of the original Corolla by 30 Nm (22 lb-ft). A six-speed manual transmission sends the momentum to all four wheels, while the deletion of the rear seats and some other unimportant extras keeps the weight down to 1,445 kilos (3,186 pounds).

The video should give you a good idea about the Morizo and its thunderous exhaust system soundtrack, which is accompanied by turbocharger whine and tire squeal.

Only 200 examples will be made and offered starting from U.S. $50,995.
