Toyota Corolla gets its mid-life update in the USA

Toyota previewed the 2023 Corolla lineup early this summer, and now it is finally coming to the showrooms priced from U.S. $21,550.

The entry-level version makes do with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine rated at 171 PS (169 hp / 126 kW). The hybrid now makes 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW), a welcome improvement over the former 123 PS (121 hp / 90 kW). The exterior styling and trim options have also been revamped, bringing the eight-inch multimedia touchscreen into the standard feature list.

Those who would like something upmarket may now opt for a Corolla SE Infrared Edition, a hybrid sedan boasting its own body kit, the same suspension as the gas-powered SE version, and red accents outside and inside.
