After bowing in Taiwan, Thailand and Brazil, the SUV-shaped Corolla Cross has now nearly arrived in North America. Pricing details remain to be announced, but here’s what comes with the car.
Perhaps the most important thing to note is that the U.S. version of the Cross will only ship with a single 2.0-liter gasoline engine rated at 171 PS (169 hp / 126 kW) and 203 Nm (150 lb-ft) of torque. A CVT can send the power to the front wheels or all four (optional). On all other markets, the model comes with multiple engine options to choose from, including hybrid.
The base spec includes 17-inch stainless-steel wheels, LED lighting, cruise control, a rear-facing camera, and a 7-inch infotainment display. Opt for the top trim, and you will get 18-inch alloys, a dual-zone HVAC, and larger dashboard/infotainment screens.
Toyota includes its Safety Sense package in all versions, but the most expensive one adds parking sensors and blind spot monitoring.
