Lifted Corolla morphs into RAV4’s small cousin

The subcompact-sized Toyota Corolla Cross is smaller, simpler and cheaper than the RAV4, which is itself a compact SUV. Japanese tuner Rivai reckoned that there are people out there who would like to drive a car just like the RAV4 without paying the full price and came up with the RAVCross that you see here.

The baby crossover ended up with a new bumper resembling its counterpart from the Adventure Pack for the RAV4. It also put on a much larger honeycomb grille, fake side air intakes concealing anti-fog lamps inside, and a skid plate at the front end finished with an aluminum paint.

A look from the side reveals plastic bolt-on fenders and 16-inch Delta Force alloys shod in all-terrain tires. AgeMaxxi suspension raises the ground clearance a bit, and the roof accommodates two travel boxes, an awning and a light rack.

Going for the full treatment will cost you a rough equivalent of U.S. $7,000. The taxes are already included, but you will have to cover any applicable shipping, painting and installation costs.
