Dino DC has posted a video report from Oura AE86, an event dedicated to the legendary Toyota ‘Hachiroku’ AE86 recently held near Tokyo, Japan. Over 300 attendees arrived at the gathering in cars loaded with all kinds of JDM mods.
It looks like most of the coupes ended up with only minimal aesthetic tweaks. Still, there were a few stanced examples and an eye-popping vivid pink one, as well as an extravagant AE86 with Lambo-style doors and a massive rear wing. Some of the owners exposed their engines – some stock, others tuned and others still swapped.
Dino DC was impressed with the sheer number of pop-up retail spots for spare parts. Many of the attendees brought along heaps of tuning components for anyone interested to buy on the spot. It almost looked like you could piece together a complete AE86 from all the scrap.
