As we all know, SUVs usually have two options in store for them: they either get lifted (off-road use) or lowered (urban/highway use). Seeing the best of both worlds implemented in a single Toyota “Low-Down” FJ Cruiser is unusual, to say the least.
Philippines-based tuner Atoy Customs built this one using Tein Endura Pro+ shock absorbers and KYB Xtage springs that dropped it 40mm (1.6”) closer to the ground. The spare wheel housing was removed from the tailgate, replaced by a decorative molding, and a new diffuser and roof spoiler were added.
The list of changes goes on to include new fender flares, a redesigned front apron, a JAOS air intake on the hood, and LED DRLs integrated into the grille.
What Atoy Customs ended with is an SUV that you could easily take to the mountains – as long as you drive carefully, because high-quality suspension is one thing and lack of clearance adjustment is another one.
