According to Cars.co.za, Toyota has finally removed the FJ Cruiser SUV from production worldwide. Rumors that the company decided to bring the axe to a model it had been making for 17 years appeared in late 2022, but the official confirmation only came in today.
The South African office of Toyota emphasized that the iconic off-roader was no longer in production on any markets where it had been available until recently.
The FJ Cruiser left North America a few years ago and said goodbye to the Middle East countries with a farewell edition in November 2022.
According to unofficial reports, the company is getting ready to unveil a continuation model so far known only as the Compact Cruiser EV.
