Toyota facelifted its Fortuner SUV slightly over a year ago, landing it with exterior and interior design improvements, as well as a GD Series diesel engine (see video). Now, another camouflaged car was spotted on the streets in Japan.
Note the red brake calipers and the blind spot monitoring system. It looks like the car could get a GR Sport version or a TRD tuning kit. The powertrain should stay unchanged, though. The current version uses a 2.8-liter diesel mated to a six-speed auto transmission for 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. Customers in Asian countries may opt for a RWD entry spec, but the main specification is an on-demand AWD one with a hard coupling on the front axle and a reduction gear.
