India-based auto shop Autorounders has launched a conversion kit for the first-generation Toyota Fortuner that enables the classic to identify as a Lexus and even pass for one – from a distance.
The package includes a new radiator grille with the instantly recognizable spindle-like outlines, and the buyer can even choose from multiple fill patterns. A sported-up front bumper and a revised hood with a larger air intake are also included, as are LED-based headlamps.
At the rear end, the bumper is new and sports imitated exhaust finishers for extra style points. The taillights are also LEDs, there is a rather elaborate spoiler, and the wheels all around are new.
A peek inside reveals a new steering wheel and an Android-based infotainment system featuring a larger display. A reversing camera capable of projecting its image onto the head unit is included, too.
