The Vigale body kit for Toyota GR 86 is transformative

We have seen dozens of new body kits announced for the Toyota GR 86 these past months, and everything looks like there will be still more coming soon. That said, few kits take the styling part as far as the extreme Vigale by Arta Mechanics (Japan) does.

Having debuted at this year’s TAS, the aero costume almost turns the GR 86 into a new car. There is a tangible Lambo influence in some sharp edges and lines all around, and the entire nose is no longer recognizable with a new bumper, splitter, grille, hood, arches and badges.

A look from the side reveals sported-up side sills and gloss-black forged rims. Where things truly go wild, however, is the rear end. The OEM taillights are gone, replaced by two pairs of round brake lights not unlike those on the Nissan GT-R. We would never believe that any of the GT-R lights would work on any Toyota sports car at all, but when you put them next to a new rear bumper, larger rear diffuser and quad exhaust tips they actually manage to pull off a stylish and coherent look. Color us surprised!

Arta Mechanics did not reveal the pricing for its impressive and controversial GR 86 makeover, but the company plans to open a showroom in Japan later where all of its earlier projects will be put on display next to this one.
