The GR Supra and the GR 86 can now be pre-ordered in limited series inspired by the marque’s classics – the Supra models from the 1990s and the AE86, respectively.
The first car is called GR Supra 45th Anniversary Edition. It comes in orange and white body finishes to choose from and rides on new 19-inch wheels. Black graphics adorns the body and matches new aero kit parts. The only mechanical novelty resides under the hood: it is a brace designed to make the structure more rigid.
The Supra utilizes its standard 3.0-liter I6 rated at 340 PS (335 hp / 250 kW). Only 900 units will be made and sold in the United States.
In turn, the GR 86 gets a special edition named Trueno, a clear reference to the classic AE86. Its body combines white and black and rests on ZF Sachs shock absorbers. The stock brakes are replaced with four-piston Brembo ones.
The company claims this modification of the GR 86 will be much easier to drift in, just like the legendary AE86. The production run will be capped at 860 units, but certain options will later become available for everyone to buy.
